EXPLORING THE OCEAN REALM

DolphinsBased on experiences as the ship’s naturalist on various sailing expeditions; a guide for Discover the World and Wildwings;  co-author of SEALIFE - A Complete Guide to the Marine Environment; and a marine biologist with an M.Sc. in Oceanography.

  • Travel the seas in search of whales and dolphins, one of the ultimate of all wildlife experiences.
  • Check out dolphins from Iceland to the Bay of Biscay and from Fin Whales in the Southern Ocean to Common Dolphins off Gibraltar.
  • See Killer Whales, Sea Lions, Sea Otters and dolphins galore up close off of California, including the biggest animal of then all - the Blue Whale!
  • Witness inquisitive Humpback Whales off New England that will come right up to the boats and look up at you - an experience that has people in tears from the emotion of it all.
  • Encounter Minke Whales up close in Antarctica on a zodiac cruise amongst the ice on a polar expedition.
  • Exploring UK islands onboard the Explorer, Andrea, Island Sky, Clipper Adventurer, MS Quest and the MS Expedition with Noble Caldedonia and GAP cruises.
  • Sailing the Norwegian coast and around Spitsbergen in the high Arctic on the MS Expedition with GAP cruises.
  • Exploring the Indian Ocean on the Island Skye with Noble Caldedonia, from Madagascar to Mauritius and the Seychelles.
  • Swimming with sharks and with a wild school of dolphins in the Bahamas (or is it the other way around - dolphins swimming with humans).

I can also talk about the following groups of marine life in specific oceans and seas, from the tropics to temperate and polar regions:

  • Seabirds
  • Seals
  • Whales
  • Dolphins
  • Turtles
  • Sharks
  • Life on the Seashore
  • The Underwater Realm

I also have plenty of interesting short stories for ’re-caps’ and the option to check out some stunning whale-watching video sequences - check out my lectures for wildlife cruises.
